Subject: Cyclone was out of place?
What? Because it was new-ish?

One of the better parts of this underwhelming NYE show. This show doesn't even hold half a candle to the previous year's tour de force NYE which IMO was a hair above NYE 04 for the best show they'd played on the night since 1999.

And no, it's not King Missile. That's how November Rain goes.

But while we're spotting imaginary teases, I'm pretty sure that they jammed on Mike's Song during Triumph.

The encore was unspeakably bad. Shem-Rah Boo was insanely dull (In a way that hints at the exact strain of dullness they'd embark on in 2010 and forwards), Reactor->Nughuffer and I-Man are solid but nothing that would stand out in a normal show.

Really, it's all about the Triumph->Helix and Cyclone->RLH->Waves->RLH. Two really solid segments, although even then..There is maybe 10 minutes of music out of that 75 minutes that would have stood out as a top 3 highlight in your average Fall 2007 show.

NYE 06 was a revelation. They had thrown down the gauntlet with Allen a few times, especially at Camp..but that NYE felt like an EVENT on every level. This one? I dunno. I wouldn't put it on the level of an outright tragedy like 03, but it's definitely in the muck with a bunch of other new years shows that prove the general rule that the 31st is never going to be the best night of this run.

1 star.

Subject: WAVES
This is one of the coolest Waves I've ever heard, the synth melody at 16:20 is blowing my mind. Sounds like the guys were really on fire that night. Cool Michael Jackson teases during Morph too.

Subject: So good I wound up getting arrested after!
My face got completely torn from my skull during this show. The Biscuits were on fire that night and I couldn't have been more pleased. One highlight for me had to be the morph thriller/billy jean jam it was straight tits. The entire second set after the NYE Helicopters is the stuff twisted insane nightmares are made of and I loved every minute of it. Only downside was my ex lost her shit and I had to leave before the encore. Then the camden cops fucked me up hahaha whatever though, great times.

This is simply an amazing show. I still listen to this one- a must download. FUCKING AMAZING Triumph->Helicopters, for me the best part of the show. Glorious I-Man too.

Two sets of straight excellence. I will happily excuse two songs that seemed out of place that night: Cyclone and Alter Ego. Skip over these and you have among the best of the year. Note: the chord progression that begins 'November Rain' is a 'Detachable Penis' (King Missle) tease.

SICK SICK SICK, the whole show was amazing. The band was on key,the sound was incredible, and the lights were insane. Deff. a great selection of jams, morph into 2008 was awesome, along with the wasted clowns. Although im not sure munckins was the best way to end it, it just makes me want to go crazy again. Great show! if u didnt go you really missed out lol
